My heads are WAY better then vortecs... I have Profiler 220's aluminum heads on it right now... I put a xm262 cam in it.

Will the stock thunderbolt IV ignition be enough you think?

Just quickly glanced at your setup and saw the older style intake bolt pattern. YES. Those heads are a good choice and flow very well. Bet that lightened her up a bit!

TB4 puts out more than enough for your app. Not much to be gained by throwing another system on. It's built like a tank.

Jealous on the headers... I'm going with Bassett on my 383 build this winter! Or maybe I'll stick with Hi-Tek. They are nicely made.
If you got a deal, do share with the group. ;)

There is a hard line connected from the carb to the gauge line... its an adapter.

But your sure right on the weight savings... with heads , manifolds and risers... looking around 150-175lbs in the azz weight savings.

I picked up the bassetts for 500... from a local guy in my area. Couldnt pass it up. Im running aluminum glm manifolds and hardin marine risers which Ill be selling in the winter. Its been a fun boat... just wish I went with a different cam... I know im losing a ton with this xm262. But I guess its better to go smaller then have too large of cam...

could be oil blowing by the piston rings, or maybe bad valve seals. If it was running rich all of the plugs would be dark and black like that.

I went with the XM270 and 1.6 roller tips. The response is awesome. Safe for reversion too. :)

Easily.... The curve is good to about 5500rpm. You don't want any more than that or the drive won't take it...
