mperu.....where are you located? Boats in different places sell for completely different prices. As an example; I live in Canada and a 30 year old boat sells for about the same as a 20 year old boat in the US.

Well i live in Kansas.. so im finding boats from the 70's thru early 90's are about the same in price.. which i find odd.. some i have looked at that are 70's are in much better shape then those i looked at in the 90's or 80's

I mean i have learned alot what to look for in my first purchase.. but i still am looking up to those of you who have had your experiences and damn good honesty to help a brother out during this first venture...

i just found out about the 1977 cheetah has some soft spots on the floor, not bad.. but the motor ran hot last year.. (its an inboard) so he thinks it may need a water pump. Im thinking about walking away - ?

Well i finally made a purchase... a 1982 17' Success with a SOLID floor 3.0 Inline 140HP MERC. She has brown and tan interior that has less than normal wear and tear for that year...
