Guys, some of you make valid points, but they're still irrelevant. OP has done his homework and decided what he wants and why he wants it. What someone paid (or might be able to pay) for another boat that bears absolutely no resemblance to what he's decided is right for him has no bearing on his situtation. Granted, Oklahoma is a long way from him, but he must have his reasons for wanting to buy the boat from that dealership. He's not asking us to tell him why he shouldn't. He's asking us whether there's anything in particular a used boat buyer should know with regard to the boat he has chosen. Now, let's hope he returns to tell us the outcome.

Does anyone here on this forum live in Oklahoma who might be interested in checking out this boat for him,

Update:
The owner has rejected my offer and is firm on the price of $30,000. Seems too high to me for a 4 year old "discontinued" model pontoon that does not have the ESP package. I will keep my money in the bank until I find a more motivated seller.
Thanks for all of your feedback. It helped me make my decision.

Like I said earlier, you really shouldn't have to go farther than Seattle to find a boat--or Portland. They have a really, really large boat market out there.

Just take your time, and the deal will show up. You will be able to get a top quality boat with a 150 hp in the high 20's--easy. The hunt is half of the fun if you keep your feelings out of it.
