I have a '74 Johnson 3-cylinder with one cylinder destroyed and the other two aren't exactly perfect. Electrics are all good, power trim is working, and lower unit looks/functions great. "powerheads.com" wants $800+ for boring, new pistons, gaskets, bearings, crank, one new rod, and rings. ($400+ for the rebuilding kit, and $400 for boring, new rod, new crank and shipping) Is there any better deals out there, or anyone that might sell me a good powerhead, or other parts I need. Thanks again.

Rower....is the crank bad? Really must've blew that thing if it is. Sounds like they are offering a used crank. Why not take the crank to a wrench for a look if there is some question about it?
