i saw a post in hear ive been searching for on a guy that rebuilt his airation system on his boat its been a yr im sure i cant find it now.i want to redue my livewell system with new pumps i have 2 pumps now. and one switch witch is rusted out.due i need the valve. i believe was to let water into the live well in the front. the other side has a cable there but no valve?( rear livewell).does anyone have a drawing and discribtion of the parts i need to due this. im understanding that the new pumps will work without the cable operated switch.there both 500 gph.should i go bigger with the pumps.or my thinking was i could use a 1500 gph pump that would work in place of 2 pumps.please advise me anyway you can.if ya got a drawing of a better system.it would of great help ty

Re: rebuilding airation system on a 1985 ranger?

I have 3 pumps on mine, one thru transom to fill-a pump out and a recirculator.

For the recirc I just mounted a standard 5oo pump in the tank and hooked it to a spray bar.

The pump out is the same as the thru transom but it comes in through the livewell wall and is on a double throw switch, down drains it up fills it, works pretty well.
