Carb Kit: SIE-187042

The Kit I got appears to be for a few types of carbs and all the stuff in it I don't need apparently.(extra seals, extra gasket, etc..)

However, there is something called "Bearing - Needle Valve" for my Slow Speed Needle. If there is one in my old carb how do I get it out?

As far as I can tell..there isn't one in there Now, but the new one is such a tight fit into the needle hole i'm afraid if there is one in there and I just can't see it, I'll end up having them both stuck in there!

Or perhaps on my carb I don't need that "Bearing - Needle Valve" thing?

Any help appreaciated!

Thanks!

It's in there. "Borrow" your wife's crochet hook stick it in through the bearing, and pull it out. What? Your wife doesn't crochet? Maybe you'll have to go to one of those stores that sell sewing stuff. I won't tell that I saw you there.

I'm fairly sure nothing is in there.

In the grand scheme of things, how important is it? Can I go without it? Assuming there wasn't one in there to begin with.

Shoudl I risk, on the chance I am wrong and there IS one in there, to just go ahead and stick the new one in and see what happens?

Thanks!

It shouldn't idle if it's missing. It is supposed to an air seal around the needle. Don't put two of them in there.

Well, I stuck the other one in and the needle screws all the way down. I can see the needle slightly poke out the tiny hole at the end (I pulled the metal plug out already).

I guess it's possible who ever did the carbs last never put them back in after taking them out?

On the off chance I now have 2 in there, what's it going to hurt?

I don't see how you can possibly get those things out after going in, it took MUCH pressure to even get it past the threads.

Thanks!
