Recessed trolling motor foot pedal

Has anyone ever cut a hole in the front deck of there boat and built a spot for the trolling motor pedal like newer bass boats have?

Never done that but i have done alot of stuff you don't normaly see.
I built a camper top for my boat, 4 sides,zippers on the doors,plastic windows from an old bimini top and 2 boat covers,fishing inside when it is raining is pretty cool.
I had never sewn anything in my life and I got that done so if you want to do it and you are pretty sure you have the skill to get it done go for it.
Alot of the reason projects like this go wrong is people just dont plan so make sure it will go where you want it and have everything figured out before you start.
I start all my projects with a pencil and paper, you will work out most of your problems before you even touch a tool.
Moral is, if you want it done and you think you can do it go for it.

get a wireless, i will never go back to a foot pedal.

no cables or foot control to trip over, a really clean set up. also get the key fog control, my remote foot control is stored in the shed, i use it once. the key fob you can be any where in the boat and control it.
