Absolute requirements:

Used

16 to 19 feet

bowrider or deckboat

fiberglass construction

outboard powered

fiberglass cockpit liner (no carpet over plywood)

Less than $9,001

So far, the only boat I know that fit all these requirements is the Four Winns 170 Horizon of the early 2000s. Am I missing any others?

You and I are looking for the same boat. Search for some of my threads. I have been unsuccesful so far finding a good boat for a reasonable price. Four Winns made outboard boats up until 2004. They went to a full fiberglass liner in 97 as standard. So if you are stuck on Four Winns look for anything 97 or newer.

There are others out there that may fit your requirements.

Kurt suggested a dual console salt water fishing boat. Those are fine if you want a no frills, more utilitarian type of boat. I am drawn to them but realize that having plenty of comfortable seating is more important to me.

Glastron has and continues to make outboard powered boats. Some of the later ones have fiberglass liners. I'm not sure when and on what models they went to all fiberglass.

Starcraft has made outboard powered bowriders for a long time also. The current boat they build, I believe has a fiberglass liner.

There is also a Tahoe that would meet your requirements.

In the deck boat realm there are more options.

Hurricane has made a couple different boats that fit your requirements. In fact it seems that most Hurricane deck boats are outboards. They make a 17' and 19' that would meet your requirements.

Other builders also make outboard powered deck boats.

I bought a 2001 Glastron 175 last year. Close to your requirements, but with an I/O instead of an outboard. Anyway, here are some notes I had accumulated on Glastron when I was shopping around last year. I think I got this stuff somewhere on the Glastron website...

Glastron launched an all-new line of SSV? runabouts in 1993, which minimized the use of wood in construction. Innovative fiberglass stringer systems and rotocast components were applauded by the industry for their durability, reduced weight and improved performance.

In 1996, the still-popular SSV series was updated as the SE (Special Edition) series. Glastron also introduced the GS (Glastron Sport) series.

In 1997, Glastron began using multi-axial fiberglass fabric, which made its boats stronger and lighter due to the higher fiber-to-resin ratios.

In 2001, Glastron introduced VEC? technology, a proprietary closed-mold boat building process.
