Hey folks,
Ive got a 1990ish Mercury 75hp 3 cylinder outboard which has 2 scored cylinder bores. Im planning on rebuilding the powerhead myself, but need a shop to bore out the cylinders. Looking for recommendations for competent shops that can do the machine work, preferably in the Detroit area, but open to sending the block out as its pretty light and should be easy to ship.
Thanks!

Make sure it’s a red seal machinist doing the work. Don’ t exceed 10% bored out. Don’t polish too smooth so it’ll hold oil. Use best rings and pistons you can afford. Do all three cylinders.
