Picked up an 1990 Skeeter SF 175 along with a Chrysler 140Hp for a deal. Motor seems to run strong but the prop is definitely not right. It's a 21 pitch but running about 1200 - 1500 RPM's below what it should. From what I can tell it needs to be 1 19 or even 17 pitch but can't confirm. Anyone have any thoughts?

Thanks.

Don't keep your rpm a srecret. What is the rpm & speed? How is the hole shot?
I think you may have a problem other than prop selection. If you want to make up 1500 rpm you would need to drop 7" in pitch. Putting ypou at 14" Boat is about 1200 not much for a 140.A 14" is something like you would see on a pontoon.
I think you may have a motor problem could be as simple as the throttle not opening all the way.You may be missing a cylinder.Be carefull when trouble shooting the ignition.
You could try running the motor and then carefully check the plug temperature with your fingers.
Did you do a compression check?

About 3800 rpm's and hole shot is sluggish. I'm going to take the motor in for a checkup as well.
