I need to know the Recomended RPM'S @ WOT for my 1991 40hp evenrude It has a 11 3/4x 17 alum. prop on a 1991 TX17 tracker.<br /><br /> Thanks<br /><br /> Tom H

My '89 40 johnson says 4500 to 5500

prop it to spin the UPPER end of that range, ie;5500 not 4500, it'll thank you for it

The closer its set up to 6000, the longer it'll live.

Thanks for all of the replys, I was able to take the boat out last Wed. I had a full load of fuel( 13 Gals.) 2 people on board and rod, reels,tackle ect.<br /> Was able when trimed to get 5200 RPM's and 32MPH.Engine purred like a kitten. This seems about right per the feed back from Ya'll<br /><br /> Thanks again for the info.<br /><br /> Tom Harvey
