I have a Volvo penta SX-M outdrive with the new style transom shield. The outdrive and components were a bear to get off. Had to use some heat and hydraulic press for trim cylinders pins to come out. Previous owner did not remove outdrive. I had the components blasted and I have just completed painting them. Where the water hose passes through the transom shield the aluminum is pitted. What type of sealer is recommended in conjunction with a new hose that has the seal built into it? 100% silicone or some other marine sealant? Keep in mind it is sealing between the rubber and the aluminum. Recommendations? Thanks
