Rectifier compatibility?

I bought a rectifier on Ebay for a dirt cheap gamble. The seller said it was for a 1991 200 V6 Rude. I got the part and the number from the BRP site matches up to a 86/87 J/E 200 V6. Any way this would work on my 91 200 V6? The part physically looks identical.

Without looking it up, I'm betting the 86/87 numbers supercede to the 91 number, and have superceded a few times since. Or maybe there's a blue wire involved in one and not the other. I don't know what the blue wire is for.

Yes it'll work Tricks....both have superceded up to PN 583689.
