Hi all,
I have a 1994 200 oceanrunner that recently had a new flywheel, powerpack, and rectifier installed. I was having a low voltage/no charge situation and the mechanic said the magnets had de-magnetized and the powerpack was shot. Apparently this burned up the rectifier. It runs great, but after idle speed through the water for 5 minutes or so, the tach cuts out and the voltage drops to battery voltage (12.6 or so). After a few minutes of running at higher RPMs it jumps back to normal. I am going to take it in, but I looking for opinions as to why this may happen. I have not checked the wiring for loose connections, I'm going to ask them to recheck their connections from the prior work. any ideas? thanks.
