Rectifier Interchange

I have confirmed that the rectifier on my '73 85hp Evinrude is bad. It's the small, three wire unit. I have a 70hp Evinrude parts motor (of unknown year, maybe late 70's early 80's) that appears to have the same unit installed on it. Are these interchangeable?

Should be the same as long as they are both 3 wire.

They are both 3-wire, and color code is the same. I'll give it a try. Thanks
