You can check the AC voltage from the stator also to make sure it's OK. It's possible for the stator to fail, but the rectifier's OK. Since we're dealing with expensive parts ($100+ typically), it's important to replace only what's needed. The stator provides the AC source to the rectifier, which converts the voltage to DC. You may need a shop manual to determine which leads to check, since you haven't given us any info about what motor you have.<br /><br />You need to keep your problem in a single thread.
