Red dot heater

Hello all,
I am currently rebuilding a 19 foot glasply. It has an old red dot heater, single fan. Is it worth replacing or is the heat out put not worth it? Boat will have full or half canvas on when cold outside.

Engine is a merc 470.

the red dot heater is a $10 copper heater core, a $20 fan and some sheet metal.

up to you if you want to use it, however with your 470, you will need to have the 4" heat exchanger and you still may not have enough expansion/draw down volume in the system.
