Red Pipe Sealant on T Connections etc on the block/manifolds?

Can anyone help me out with the type of red liquid thread sealant that's used on the T's and other threaded connections on the engine? I've seen Loctite 554, Gasoilas (Which says it's a permanent sealant), among a few others.

Either Mercury Perfect seal if you can find it, or Permatex 80019 (Aviation Sealant form a gasket)

I'm assuming it'll work for the connections I have for the water heater, block, manifolds, etc? Just asking as I already have the aviation sealant.
