Red Recruits.

I scan the left side of the threads to search for replies from the [OP].
They standout because of the color.

New recruits have a Red Life Ring as their Rank Symbol.
It makes you have to look twice to be sure you found an [OP] post.

May I suggest the "Green" Recruits get a Green Life Ring instead?

Where your rank insignia is. Instead of the shoulder board. Personally I don't have a problem with the way it is.

Not real sure what uncle Willie is suggesting, but while looking for Red OPs and red rings, I did find green spots to let me know who is on line, thus allowing for an almost chat.

In THIS case the Cadet/Recruit is also the [OP].

As soon as they get a couple of Posts they get promoted and a stripe like the Second Poster.
