Redoing my trailer side steps

Well my carpet wrapped wood side steps for my 12 year old trailer have completely rotted away. So in my search for a good wood base to redo these, I came across a product called Powerply from World Panel Products Inc. (http://worldpanel.com/proddetail.asp?prod=Powerply). It seems like a pretty solid product to ensure my side steps will be around for another 12+ years. I wanted to know:
1) Has anyone used this product before? Reviews?
2) Does anyone have any alternative product that might be a little cheaper?

Thank you for the info.

Re: Redoing my trailer side steps

From what I have read here, outdoor rated pressure treated wood, properly dried and wrapped in a coating of fiberglass is the best thing going. More experience will follow my newbie reply though.

That is what I have been seeing too, but then I have to worry about dry time and then learning how to fiberglass...never done it before, although it would probably be a great skill to learn....but someday not now. ;)

I know this product above is more expensive then the PT plywood (estimates I have seen on here is approx. $60 or so), plus the cost of the fiberglass....that I don't know about. This product just looked pretty simple and clear how to make happen to me. Any other thoughts?

Re: Redoing my trailer side steps

just an update...the vendor's shipping cost was VERY high; however, I reached out a guy named Scott from the Michigan office that was a great guy. He was willing to work with me and even sold me a half board (since that is all I needed). I should be getting the board this week and will post updates for everyone.
