Mine is a 9.9 evinrude and it spits bak out the carb. reed damage??/ can i fix the reed????? the fuel float tank won't stay full. fuel pump???<br /><br />thanks<br />charlie

Sorry about the double post. From your description I doubt any reed damage. Do a complete carb teardown and a thorough cleaning. I recommend a good, several hours, soaking in carb cleaner then rinse parts with aerosol carb cleaner and blow out with compressed air making darn sure every orifice,passageway and metering jet is sparkling clean.
