Re: refurbing old tahti

irmo1720,
I own a 1967 16' Tahiti (runabout) and am making a new seat for it. I'm not sure what type of seat you have, but mine was a bench seat (rotten and severely neglected). At first I thought I'd put in bucket seats but then realized that as small as the boat is...that I'd benefit more from the bench (more people could fit in it). I'm using the old seat as a template. Do you have an outboard or inboard engine?

I always like to see more Tahiti owners out there. I'm hoping to have mine in the water this weekend! You can see some project pix of mine below. I plan to put new carpet in and start to build the seat today. Then I'll put my new lower unit on it and be ready to go! :D
