I was thinking of buying a 15" LCD for my boat, guess just for the kick of it. I have a 21' boat and was wondering if a regular LCD Tv which is half the price would do versus a marine Tv.
any 12 volt tv you get will be designed to be mobile.... fwiw I have 32" and 47" 110 volt lcd's in my rv and they have held up fine so far...... Your biggest concern is water..... if it will be above deck then it needs to be weather proof
Well, i found the coby 15" with DVD combo for $180, it's 110v but I have a 12v adapter and it's going in the cabing, so thought I'd get the non marine version and save over $220
Typically the "advantage" of the rv or marine specific tv is that it will run off of 12v. With that being said, I have used standard lcd tv's and display panels in a lot of mobile setups and have never had any problems. Just keep it dry.
Dunno if your needs are the same as mine, but the NAXA 13.3 I just bought is about perfect in my opinion. $180 plus shipping from www.overstock.com. Excellent in all regards based on my requirements.
