Relocate bilge pump switch??????

At the lake today and with five of us tubing and dripping water into boat all day noticed about 2" of water in my ski locker... checked my bilge and noticed the water level not high enough to "float" and turn on bilge pump. Should i relocate the float switch further toward rear of boat so it will turn on pump sooner and not allow water level to get so high???? Thanks

So let me figure this out. You are saying that the bilge pump is under water but not the float switch? If the bilge pump is in the water just turn it on with the dash switch.

You can certainly do that or just ad a dash switch also, running the wires would be the hardest part of that job.
