i'm in the process of installing remote controls and stick steering on my 1955 15hp rude, pull start. i would like to install a kill switch as i'm wanting to fish alone, thus having to move forward. any suggestions. 1960 Lonestar

Does it have a kill switch now?

I'm not sure how you would install a kill on that one. I believe those ground the breaker plate when the throttle is closed all the way.

Perhaps a secondary ground hooked to the breaker plate?

no kill switch now. you just turn the tiller throttle till it stops. i won't to be able to adjust the remote so that it idles, and use just some type of switch to kill the engine. it could me just a normal open push button, that would ground the spark.

printed all the kill switch material, will consider. got my controller from ebay today, installed, and adjusted so it will die by pulling the throttle all the way back. waiting on the EsyGuide stick steering to come in. can't wait to play with this by myself. by the way i do have and inflatable stearns vest.
