I need to replace the throttle, shifter control box and cables on my 1980? 70 hp. I am looking at buying used parts but I don’t know if there are differences from year to year in the wiring and cables. I don’t have accesses to the motor for a few weeks. I am out of town. I think the MOD: E30ELCRD SER: JC7501. The person that got the numbers for me was having trouble reading them. Any help would be appreciated.

Aloha, wyatt....welcome to iboats.<br /><br />Your engine from the Model number posted would be a 1984. Any control box with the red plug attached to the wire harness will work for the engine. Shift and throttle cables are the same also except for length. You would need "Snap-In" type control cables.

OBJ<br />Thank you for the help. I am still looking for a good used control box. Tack and temp gages would be nice to. Do you know were to find the parts I am looking for? Motor Mod: E70ELCRD.
