With the remote oil reservoir hooked up to an MCM o/d, will this fully fill up the o/d with lube?

pretty much. You won't be able to get absolutely all the air out but pretty close

Will take a few hundred years but you can.
The proper way is to fill from the bottom untill it comes out the top plug, close plug, carefully pump untill you see a little in the bottle, add to the bottles full mark.

Fill it from the bottom, up. That is the right and ONLY way to fill that drive. It wont fill the drive completely from the lube bottle unless you run the drive. If you run the drive without oil, you will be buying a new drive.

The bottle is really only there to alert you of a leak in the drive-the level should not drop, if it does you have a issue. 'nutcase

Re: Remote oil reservoir

The best thing about a reservoir is that it allows a place for pressure build-up to go and to prevent a vacuum in the drive.
