Remote oil tank cracked on one corner. Repare?

First thanks for the info on the motor. She fires right up now at the 1st touch of the key.

’85 115HP Yamaha if that makes any diffrence.. when i was pulling her all apart this weekend ....It looks like it was dropped and the corner the size of half a penny is broken. Is there anyway to patch this stuff with epoxy putty or anything else anyone can think of? I just don’t have the $350 bucks right now for a new one.

Dave,

With all the four-stroke conversions these days, I would bet that you could call around locally and find a used one for cheap.

Don't know about the epoxy, but a strip of fiberglass with resin should work. Prep the surface well and give time to cure.
