Remote Trim - Warning Decal?

I added a remote trim switch and was wondering if there is anywhere to purchase an operation warning decal for it?

Looked at making a custom one but the only online places I could find had a minimum order of 200 or so.

Thanks.

Check at a local sign shop in your area. They should be able to hook you up cheap. Otherwise, send a PM to jasoutside. He's got a decal guy that gave him a real nice deal on new custom decals for his outboard.

If there are swimmers in the water and an unidentified remote trim switch gets operated, it could be dangerous to anyone who has hands or feet near the outdrive. That's the kind of warning I'm interested in, I don't know if any factory trim switches ever carried a warning but it seems like a good idea to me. The switch I used is a simple toggle with a boot, so might not be easily recognized for what it does.

Good idea 83.

ANY switch not labeled ALWAYS gets flipped around......" Take it easy man. Just wanted to see what it does! "

I'd go for more just labeling the function of the switch, vs a warning label. If someone (especially a kid) is playing around on the switches, that big warning label might pique their attention enough to figure out what it does!

If someone is swimming with their feet near the outdrive, they probably will move them quickly when they hear the trim pump. Not like the trim is lightning fast either...

I think a much better idea would be a sticker on the swim platform warning about the potential meat grinder hiding just under the surface. Maybe a semi-graphic cartoon drawing would be in order!

Glastron and I both agree there is one from the factory at the ladder, with words and a cartoon!

Why not just make your own? I have a Brother P-Touch label maker that will accept tape cartridges up to 3/4" wide and hooks up to my computer so I can use any font I have installed there. On a white gelcoat background you could use gold lettering on black background, black lettering on yellow background or even black lettering on clear background and make a very nice looking label. You can even import graphics though with 3/4 of an inch to play with, that has limited utility.

Send a E Mail to the trim companies. Tell them your problem. At least 1 should send you the UP OFF DOWN switch stickey label that is water & sun proof.
Far neater job.
Send to all of them & pick the best one for your space.

What about putting some kind of safety cover(in addition to warning decal) over the trim switches. Couldn't find exactly what I mean, but something like the cover in this pic.

I, for one....wouldn't be allowing any swimming/loitering around the outdrive.

+1 on the P-touch label maker. Great for stuff like what the OP wants to label. Costco sells them for about 35$.
