Remove LU, 1983 50 hp?

Son just got this motor,last owner tried to remove LU.it is down about 1/2 " and stuck.All external bolts removed.any thing internal?ger shift etc.I,m familiar with JRUDES,Merc is new to me. Any help? thanks dave

Thers should only be 6 bolts holding it on.<br /> The 4 on the outside retaing the LU to the leg.<br />Then 1 holding the Trim tab on and 1 under the trim tab.<br />I had troublke removing mine, it took a couple of statigically plaved wooed wedges and a runbber mallet to free it . <br />It most like just stuck on the locating pins etc.
