Remove Passenger Console

Hello, ( I posted this in the "boat topics" section before I found the Crestliner thread.....so am reposting)

I have a Crestliner CMV 1750, dual consoles. I am thinking of removing the passenger console to give more room for fishing, poles etc. I looked under the flooring and it looks like they are just bolted down but one of the bolts on the corner (which is also bolted) has no real access to the top where the screw head would be. They will spin if I don't have a screw driver on the screw head and I don't want to destroy the console in case I want to put it back in the future. Does anyone have any experience in this area?

Thanks for the help,

Glen

Is it possible to drill/grind/cut the screw or head of the screw. You can always get a new bolt if needed upon reinstalling the console. Are you not concerned about your passengers getting wind/bugs thrown into their faces at planing speeds?

Re: Remove Passenger Console

I guess I am being a little selfish in wanting more room. I fish much of the time by myself but I do fish with a friend and more importantly, my wife at times......hadn't thought of it that way. I guess I'll leave it on.

Thanks for the help,
Glen
