A 38-year-old angler was killed when he overestimated the height of a cement bridge beam he drove his boat under while speeding at midnight in a no-wake zone (Wilton Manors, Fla., March). <br /><br />I know this is sad...but come on!!! How many stupid things can you do at the same time and not turn yourself into a greasy spot.

i used to get email with this topic. wish i could remember where i got it... interesting stuff.<br />-like the guy in a big city who slept with a gun by the bed. he apparently was halfasleep, got a phone call in the night, reached over to pick up the phone, and blew himself away with the gun.<br />-or the drunk college kid who tried bungee jumping by tying the cord off on the top of the dorm. didn't realize the cord was longer than the height of this 4story bldg, and went splat.

my hands down ultimate favorite is the guy who roped himself in a lawn chair an kept blowin' up helium ballons from a rented tank an tyin' them to to chair.. till he lifted off.. also he had a bb pistol with him.... pretty dumb but pretty smart.. it was in 'the news paper' years ago..

I remember the lawnchair guy!!!! I lived in Orange County, CA.(Irvine) then, I beleive he was from Santa Ana, CA, right??? That cracked me up! Heinz

Did any of you guys here about the guy that strapped a booster assist rocket for army cargo planes to his chevy impala. I guess he took off to the desert somewhere on a straight section of highway and lit her up. I think after a mile or so he was airborne and the brakes were burnt up and the tires were flat. But the hiway patrol thought it was a small plane that crashed into the side of a cliff until they found the impala emblem.<br /><br />What do you suppose was going through his head at 300 mph in his old chevy I wonder what radio station he was listening to

I'm well as can be considering the weather down here's been really un-boatworthy for quite a few weeks now (strong winds & rain)... How's the weather up there ? are you getting much fishing time these days ?

i heard about the voilent storms down your-neck-of-the-globe..really bad winds..<br /><br />it's summer for keeps ,here.. 80's / 90's humidity hasn't been bad as of late .. i'm back to work ,now. an workin' some killer overtime during the week.. won't last long. hardly ever get o. t. in the bad months , always in sprng & summer..that's the nature of the beast..<br /> <br />as for fishin' ... I read the article several years ago about the guy and the booster rocket strapped to his car. This really happened. From what I remember they only found like a finger or two of the guy. The rest of him was SPLAT. He hit a solid rock wall at God only knows how fast.

he even brought some sandwiches & some miller lite ... ( less weight or less fillin'.. always a debate ).. got up as high as 1600 ft. in crossed over la x airport . where he was dimed out by a jet liner pilot.. he didn't drop his gun ,he used it to land.. asked why.. he said " a man just can't sit around ." ( gotta love it !! ) WELL, the gene pool stops here.. he never had kids & walked in a woods an shot himself in the heart.. like i said.. the gene pool stops here...
