I have removed my props on volvo penta dul prop, their is no cotter pins on the prop nuts, just Teflon on the treads. Question, should I replace both nuts with new ones once removed. I don't know how often the prop nuts have being removed before. Just a little concerned were their is no cotter pins.
Thanks to all in advance.

what drive?

VP doesnt use cotter pins on all drives, only on some.

you may get better traction by having a mod move this to the VP or prop forum

The drive has two plates on it, one reads
Type: SX-M
Ser#4151000925
Prod#: 3868844

The other plate reads:
DP-Sm 1.95 ratio
Ser# 4202048280
Prod # 3868913

The is no cotter pin, I'm woundering because their is no cotter pin do I have to change the prop nut's out for new after removing the prop's to change my gear oil?

The engine will have two plates on it like that usually. Giving both options of what the engine can be paired to. That’s all. You will have one of them listed. Presumably the DPS, being a duo prop. You don’t need cotter pins these days like you used to for old school smaller things. But marine grease everywhere is always a good thing. I’m not too familiar with the drive you actually have to be fair…but if it’s like the older DP drives with the nose cone…make sure that retaining bolt thread that’s recessed in there is greased on its thread. Known a few guys that have snapped the heads off them, from either being seized or forgetting about them all together most likely. Although I think your later drive may not have the nose cone perhaps. Just in case. Make sure you grease up the gear linkages in there too, whilst you are around it.
