It is advisable to have a bracket for the pump.Less likely to have hose chaffing problems which lead to leaks.I understand that you should have been able to get a conventional pump that comes complete to bolt up.The one you got must have been the least expensive way to go and if it were mine ,I would just fabricate a suitable bracket.Either that ,or return it and pay a few more skins for the retro fit pump.<br /><br />FYI,The vro pump actually works quite well as a conventional 50:1 pumper as long as the unit will pump.Blanking off the oil inlet would also be a site easier than fabricating a bracket or installing a new unit.
