Can anyone give me advice on removal of agae from the lower unit? Is there a recommended cleaner to use. I've heard of using muratic acid but is it safe on aluminum? Are there better alternatives? Thanks

I've tried pressure washing already and it took off some of the larger growth but I still have some pretty stubborn stains that I'd like to remove.

Ok, I'll try that. I looked at a couple of places today and couldn't find the acid. Do you know who sells it?

If you have a good industrial blasting service at hand you can bag the head and have them hit the lower end with walnut hulls. This will not take off the paint if the blaster is any good, but it will take off any growth.
