I am trying to pull the AQ151 out of my boat. The drive is off, the 6 bolts out of the flange and the front mounts diconnected. I can lift it but it won't come forward. Am I missing something or is it just stuck and needs a little force to get out thanks,

push it left to right? They get stuck in there pretty good - there's nothing else holding it in there. Usually have to have the front of the motor tilted upwards to remove

Okay, that's what I was trying to do. I do have a come-along taking the weight off the front and there is a lot of movement left and right, maybe I have to be more forceful.

Still no luck. I took the transom mount nuts off and tried to slide that off but no matter how I pryed..nothing so then I tried to separate it from the bellhousing, it goes about a half an inch then stops. has anyone encountered this? I am about ready to take a chainsaw to the transom

Thanks,shawn

The engine not coming forward from the flywheel housing indicates that the PDS (primary drive shaft) is rusted to the centering bearing in the flywheel. With enough force, they should separate.

For the 6 bolt mounting flange at the back of the boat, there are also some threaded holes for jack bolts to force that flange rearward. Try to remove that mounting ring with the jack bolts and everything should slide forward.
