got a crestliner muskie 15 runabout and trying to remove the cap on it to redo the flooring. I have gone around and taken all the staples out of the folds, but it won't budge when we try to lift it. were there other key spots that the cap was attached usually? thanks!

Folds? Not sure what you are referring to here.

Every manufacturer has their own way of doing it. Normally there are fasteners around the perimeter under the rub rail. If your hull has a liner you may have to do a little cutting to get it loose. Post some pics of what you have done so far.

Yep need some close up pics of what's there. When I did mine (pics in my thread) I pulled the rubrail, ripped out all the staples and was able to pry the deck up from the hull. Pics will help someone may have glassed the inside or mabey you missed a staple or two?

Yep, a current picture would help, maybe there is some sort of sealer holding you back?

The rear transom looks like there is an epoxy holding the cap on, any suggestions to break it loose? sawzaw?

the cap is all loose except for the transome and the very front, can foam possibly be a binder to the cap and hull? (pic)

the pieces of wood in the front shows how far i can get the cap up, won't budge after that. just something up front underneath is holding it down, can't find any hardware and the only place that i see holding anything is the foam. Could it have created a bond between cap and hull?

and here's why i want to take the cap off

Hey Mnmattie, mine had something{?} holding the cap to the transom as well, very brittle it turned out, I hit it with a chisel and it started to crack ...a few more taps and wahlah, free!

Foam could be hindering your attempt, but if all else is free, I would think just some man power would break the foams bond{just my thoughts} if it's accessible get in there and pull back some of the foam to give you better look-see.
