My Merc. manual just says "remove" but doesn't say how. The camshaft sprocket wants to come off easily, but the crank sprocket is absolutely stuck on.

Any tricks to getting this thing off?

Wait, let me guess, a Mercruiser special tool for $200:D

you need to use a 3 jaw puller becare full that the end of the puller does not go into your crank and wreck your threads i put a bolt back in the hole to protect the threads ...

Tried my two jaw puller. It came right off with only finger tightening. I didn't want to take any chances with breaking an expensive part.

Thanks
