Anyone have any recomendations for any products or home remidies for removing internal deposits. IE: I have a tank i can use for running my outboards at home. Is there something i can add to safely disolve any deposits internaly ? Then flush with fresh water through the flush kit.

Roscoe I think he is talking about deposits in the cooling system.

I dont know why a radiator flush additive wouldnt work.

Yes Reel Poor thats right. I didn't want to use anything too harsh though. I believe rad flush is just a weak caustic soda though? Hate to eat through my parts lol. Must be something good out there to remove cooling system deposits

You might try CLR but before dumping a couple of bottles in the tank, drop a piece of aluminum in and see what happens. I don't thing CLR will bother it. If it doesn't attack aluminum it won't attack anything else in the engine. Just flush it well with clear water afterwards.
