Removing lower unit 1993 evinrude 60

Hello all I am stumped on removing my lower unit on my 60 evinrude. I have a weak tell tale and am looking to drop the lower unit and service the water pump. I have removed all four bolts and there was one under the cavitation plate I removed as well. I know there is a bolt I need to remove to disengage the shift rod. Can someone point me in the right direction of where this is located?

On the 3 cylinder motor there is a bolt hidden under the trim tab too.------------No bolt on the shift rod.----There is a hitch pin to be removed on the starboard side on the shift shaft.--Then push that shaft to the port side to release the shift rod.

Racerone, I removed all 6 bolts along wig the pin and moved the shirt lever to port side and she still is not budging lol. Anything I can do to help it along?

Will the lower unit not drop even a little bit ?--------------When was the unit off last?----Salt water motor ?-----Tried pushing the shift lever to port and rotating it clockwise ?

Unit will not budge. I have pushed it in towards port but still nothing although I am trying to do this myself. I am sure it would be easier to have someone help me. In terms of rotating it clockwise, do you mean shifting into forward? Or do I have to actually disengage the shift rod from the black arm it is connected to and then rotate it?

Look under the lower carb and make sure the shift rod is disengaged from the linkage. If you have all the bolts and ect out the D/S splines could be stuck in the C/S splines.

This is still giving me fits I am pushing shift rod por but still not budging. Any other tips or maybe a photo to help me along

Is the shift lever not budging or the shift shaft from the LU not budging?
Put a bolt back in now as you dont want the motor being held up by this shift shaft
