I was going to ask the same thing Keith. I've used the Amazon products with similar or same results, but was curious what Mike used.

Nice job all around Mike! She looks great.

KaGee, thanks for noticing. I probably put at least 20 hr's of sanding into it, couple hours each time I went down there over the winter, by hand in all the grooves, looks just as good underneath too. There was some kind of varnishy stuff on the top, but it was all white and green underneath. Anyways, the Starbrite cleaner, brightener, and oil kit was used afterwards.

I won't go into how I went down the boatyard after doing all that work, only to see muddy footptints, scratches and white paint imprints from the rags the guys were using on the sailboats bottom that I was backed up against!!!!!!!!!! They were using it as a work platform!!!!!!!!

IDIOTS. Your boat is very interesting. I've never seen and inboard GW before. Nice looking rig.

Mike looks great. the inboard makes it really unique. I bet you get a lot of looks from others that know the Grady.

I purchased a 1995 Grady 208 with hardtop last year. I had lusted over this model for years. Great boats. Have had mine out now several times 70 miles offshore on Albacore tuna trips. Ran the 60 miles from San Diego out to San Clemente Island and overnighted.

One recomendation, if your boat still has plastic thru-hull fittings replace them with stainless or bronze. The plastic ones will crack and can and do snap off with age. I speak from experience!

What motor does yours have and what is your fuel economy? I have the original 95 Yamaha 175 2-stoke that came with the boat. Gets about 2 MPG.
