I’m currently running 22’ Grady W/A with a hardtop, the whole bit using a 14 x 17 Renegade Offshore prop on a 1997- 200 hp Ocean Pro. The WOT with the Renegade is only 5000- 5100 but the speed (35-36 mph) seems reasonable to me considering the weigh of the boat and that I’m only running 5000 rpm.

I’ve been told that this motor should be running mid- to upper 5K rpm so I have a stock Envinrude 15 x 17 aluminum prop I want to try. Will the aluminum prop make that much difference in my rpm or should I be looking at something else? It looks like I could raise the motor up a hole if I had too but I’d prefer not to unless I need to.

you're about 800RPM low "IF" the tach is right...the 17P 3-bld won't get that...

Figures out to 21% slip..I think thats a tad high for a Renegade. Tach may be reading about 200 higher than actual.
