repainting a carolina skiff

i need to repaint or re gel the inside of a 1990 carolina skiff i need some suggestions on what paint to use or how to gel it. do i need to spray it or roll it. how do i sand it with a hend or machine.

Painting will easier and cheaper, and will look better. Gel coat finishes do not self level and it takes alot of labor to sand, compound, buff, etc. to make it look good. You would be better off with a two-part polyurethane paint like [colour=red]Interlux Perfection[/colour]. This stuff is almost as strong as gel coat, but without all the labor. Most marine stores carry that and the non-slip powder you would put in it to paint the walking surfaces.
