Rick:
Good luck!!! Around here, the end of September usually gives me a several good weekends of fishing.

I hope to get all the materials together this week if I can get all my Q's answered. Bass Pro has what they call "non-woven fiberglass" in stock and I have the resin. If this is the same thing as bi-ax.
The only hold up might be the paint. I am going to repaint the transom but I think a quart will get the job done. But, it being $50-$60 a quart and being out of a job, it might have to wait.

Check with these guys on whatever materials you need their parts/service department is great and they are more than willing to help ( unlike Just add water ) :D. They are right off of Zorn on river road just down the way from you :D.

I was planning on checking them out. St Mathews Imports (SMI) is right around the corner. They do ALL body work including boats. They repaired hail damage on a SUV my wife had several years back (The had to cut the hole roof off and replace it). But, if I remember correctly, they have their own paint department and can custom match the paint for me.
But, when the time comes, I will also check with Marine Sales. They might be able to do custom matching. After all, I do have a chip large enough. ;)
