I'm repairing/replacing my manifolds and risers on my 5.7L Mercruiser. I need all new bolts as half are rusted, sheared, and one I had to drill out as the head was completely rusted off.

Anyone know the exact sizes of the riser and manifold bolts or a source where I could purchase for a REASONABLE price?

If someone knew the exact thread size, taper, etc, that would be great.

Thank you!

Usually when buying risers and manifolds you can order them as a kit. This normally includes all bolts and all gaskets necessary.

They are sold seperately.... To the tune of $52 plus shipping.... Really? And those were the best prices. Would you pay $4 a bolt?

Why don't you just go to your local fastner outlet and buy the bolts of the correct length. You must have gotten one of them off without destroying it so you can measure it.

The McMaster-Carr Ultra Corrosion-Resistant Coated High-Strength Steel - Grade 8 bolts are the ones I use when replacing fasteners on my engines or on my boat, whenever possible.

Don and Wingless,

This is EXACTLY what I wanted.... I have a job where I'm basically stuck in front of a computer all day (like most) and can do a lot of things remotely... PLUS, this is great to be able to buy the high strength, ultra corrosion resistant bolts as well. As you can imagine, my manifolds and risers were junk, and so were the bolts...

Wasn't going to trust them for anything...

Wingless, thanks for the site rec; I'm going to be using that in the future quite a bit.

You are welcome! I use McMaster-Carr all the time.

These fasteners hold up great on the boat.
