i have a new (08) yamaha F100 that is stuck in gear after hitting a rock, it wont return to neutral. i was wondering if anyone knows where i can get a parts diagram for the gearbox, would anyone know how much parts would cost and how long the repairing would take. anything else i should know would be a help.

Thanks

Re: Repairing Damaged Gears in Yamaha F100

your going to need to remove the gearcase, remove the bearing carrier, remove the shift shaft and withdraw the prop-shaft and shift assy for inspection. its quite possible the groove the shift clutch pin rides in is distorted.
however no estimates, other than total case replacement, can be given without dissasembly and assesment.
