I have replaced the fuel sending unit in my onboard tank, but it is not working.
I checked wiring and the unit is receiving power.
Any suggestions?

Re: repairing fuel sending unit

Welcome to Iboats!
What exactly is getting power? The gauge works off of ohms.
The sender should be grounded then have the other wire going to the S post on the gauge.
The gauge does get 12 volts from the dash.
check all connections on the back of the gauge.

If you ground out the S wire it should peg the gauge on full....that tells you if the gauge is working..

If gauge checks out and wiring too, you can check the tank sending unit with an ohm meter (even a cheap multimeter bought at hardware store or radio shack, etc.. will work).
