My Quintrex bowrider seems to have a small leak in the bow I have filled it up with water, couldn't pin point it but every time I go out I end up with a bit of water in the front of the boat. I noticed a tiny crack in the keel, Im not sure if thats where the waters getting in because it doesn't seem to go right through the hull but I was thinking of patching it up anyway as it may resolve the problem. Can I use epoxy steel for a small crack or does it need to be welded? P.S does anyone have any Ideas on pin pointing the leak

try some J-B marine weld. made to hold up under water. or you can coat the inside with Gulvit, the aluminum boats best friend.

I might give the gulvit a try that way I can coat the whole area around it. It's just bugging me not being able to find out exactly where its getting in.

Thanks skimmer.

gulvit is best applied inside and let it run out.

Small leaks like that are a pain to find. If the crack is tiny it may take the force of the boat being under way to push the water in.

I think that might be the case dennis I will try the gulvit on the inside around the area where it seems to be pooling, failing that I might have to just start pulling my hair out as it has been annoying me for some time.

thanks... skimmer.
