Replace 1990 Mercury 100hp power trim switch - NEED HELP

Somehow, I really banged the power trim switch hard and maybe broke it. It is located on top of the shift/throttle lever. I can remove the Quicksilver face plate and hot wire the power trim and confirm it works, but I cannot get to the switch on top of the lever. How do I replace the switch?

If you go to usaboatsupply.com and click mercury there is a drop down list , select the one the says controls and find your set. There are a pile of diagrams that will guide you on how to pull the controls apart.
