Replace 200 with 250

I have an old 1986 23' Sea Ox with a 86 200hp Johnson on it and it is having some engine problem. I took it into the mechanic and he said that one of the rings in one of the cylinders had jumped out and that it was going to be around 4k to fix the problem. I had thought about doing the job myself for a fraction of the cost but don't think I have the time. But I did stumble across a 1991 250hp Johnson for sale for $1900. So I was thinking about just doing an engine swap, but my question is do the controls for the 86 200 just bolt on to the 91 250 or is it more complicated?
